Right of the Week

Our “Right of the Week” is:

EVERYONE should know about the Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 42)

Miss Milne will be giving us a new right each week in assembly. We hope it will help us to remember all of our rights!

P2/3 Rights Assembly!

Congratulations to P2/3 on their excellent assembly which was all about children in emergencies (such as Typhoon Haiyan) getting access to their rights and what Unicef does to help them. The children used what they had learned about weather and natural disasters, as well as their talking skills, to put on an informative and clear presentation.

Here is the PowerPoint the which the pupils edited themselves and used to illustrate their points.

£470.60 Raised for UNICEF!

The Rosewell Rights Steering Group would like to say a huge thank you to all of the members of the community who came along to support our toy sale as well as the all of the children and parents who helped to run the stalls, and of course the people who baked delicious cakes. You all helped us to raise an incredible £470.60 which we have sent to Unicef to help children in emergencies get access to their rights. Well done everyone!

New text message service

Our School will be using the new text message service to alert Parents in the event of Emergency School Closures e.g. Severe Weather, Heating Issues etc.
We will also be using the text service to inform Parents of School Events to help us become more Eco Friendly.
Please note that if you have more than one child in the School, you will receive the same text as the system does not allow us to modify it for a family group.
Please do not reply to any messages sent as this is an outgoing service only
