Maths Basic Facts is a progressive programme where learners are encouraged to have quick recall (within 4 seconds) of basic facts within numeracy.
We expect and need learners to develop this fluency in Maths Basic Facts so that they can apply this knowledge to increasingly more complex maths and numeracy problems.
These facts include:
- quick recall of multiplication and division facts
- quick doubling and halving of numbers
- mental strategies for addition and subtraction
